Listening to and with the body

A sensory and communal practice exploring how we make meaning through taste, sound, memory, and story.

The experience began with an invitation to slow down and engage all five senses in the act of eating. Participants were guided to taste with attention, noticing the textures, aromas, flavours, and sensations that emerge when eating becomes an act of presence rather than consumption.

From taste, we moved to sound. Each participant selected a song and shared it with the group, creating a collective listening experience shaped by different musical worlds. After each song, its curator shared the story behind it: the memories, relationships, emotions, and personal mythologies that gave the music meaning.

Moving between sensory awareness and collective storytelling, the practice explored how ordinary experiences can become portals into deeper connection—with ourselves, with our histories, and with one another.

An invitation to reclaim the art of paying attention, discover the stories held in our senses, and experience how listening can become a practice of intimacy and belonging.
